Over 30 years ago, IMP was founded as Internationale Metall Imprägnier GmbH. Right from the beginning, IMP focused on manufacturing high-quality sealants for grey cast iron as well as for copper, aluminium and magnesium alloys. Then, in 1987, after some intensive development work, IMP brought the all-round sealant IM3000 to the market – a product still widely regarded as the industry standard worldwide.
